Area of the Second Stretch of the Ocean to Ocean race (The Gatun Lake), located between Barro Colorado Island (Buoy 45-49) and Buoy 59. Tabernilla usually has a mild to strong breeze that blows in favor of the cayuco direction (i.e. towads Buoy 59). Some times this area has waves that can be surfed with the cayucos.
