Boat & Name History

Gib"Tion" was born in Portobelo, Colon along with his brother boat the Perception. It is own by the Ferrara Family and it was build in 2003 by Anthony Ferrara, Juan Carlos Arias, Victor Celis and Maribel Ibanez with the help of Jay Gibson. In Gamboa, there is a tradition that the cayucos that are built there should be named with a word ending in "Tion". The current crew wanted to keep this tradition going and at the same time dedicate the creation of this magnificent boat to the Gibtion family. Therefore, the crew chose Gib"Tion" to be name of the boat.
