Gamboa

The former American Explorers "Post 10" division has now become Gamboa. Gamboa boats practice in the area of Gamboa and are generally coached by Mr. Jay Gibson, who shares his cayuco wisdom with the crews under his tuteleage, and his crafting tools to repair and maintain the boats under his care.

Gamboa boats are characterized by high technology, mostly developed by Mr. Gibson who has incorporated ideas from other water sports into the Cayuco Technology. High standards are also expected from the crews under his tuteleage, regarding compromise with the sport, dedication, responsibility, a rather "clean vocabulary" and respect among gamboa and non gamboa teams.
Gamboa Practice Areas include the stretch between the Gamboa Bridge and Buoy 69, The Gamboa Public Ramp and the Chagres River.
