Cayuco Race

Aquatic extreme sport original from the Republic of Panama, similar to canoeing, that is practiced in the waters of the Panama Canal in autoctonous panamanian indigenous vessels called Cayucos.

[edit] Juvenile Category
The age of all team members range from 14 to 21 years old.
- Juvenile Male: All members of the team are males.
- Juvenile Female: All members of the team are females.
- Juvenile Coed: At least one of the members of the team belongs to the opposite sex

The majority of the team members are older than 21 years.
- Open Male: All members of the team are males.
- Open Female: All members of the team are females.
- Open Coed: At least one of the members of the team belongs to the opposite sex

[edit] Necessary equipment to practice cayuco race
- 1 Cayuco
- 1 team of 4 or more people, depending on the number of seats in the cayuco.
- 1 4x4 car with a hitch.
- 1 Cayuco Trailer.
- Money or good sponsors.
- A place to safely store the cayuco.
- Carpenter tools and materials for cayuco maintenance.
- Paddles.
- Heart, passion, endurance, competetiveness and team spirit!
