Boat & Name History

The search of the wood for the boat started in 1989 and two years after it was built together with "El Delfin" which is its brother boat.

The name "CARIOCA" is a demonym that is used to refer to the native inhabitants of the city of RIO DE JANEIRO,Brazil. The name was placed by the original boat owner, who lived in BRAZIL for several years.
